Welcome to the Hendrick Hudson Lions Club’s website. Since 1954, a caring group of Buchanan, Cortlandt Manor, Croton, Cruegers, Montrose, Peekskill and Verplanck residents has worked together to serve the community. That tradition has evolved into what is today’s Hendrick Hudson Lions Club.

When a local child struggled with a disease that could not be treated locally, the Hen Hud Lions Club provided airfare so treatment could be rendered. When a local family lost their home to fire, and another family’s home suddenly needed to be made wheelchair-accessible, the Lions were there.

For years, the Hen Hud Lions Club has done free eye screening for area pre-school children, provided college scholarships to deserving students, and donated countless hours  of sweat equity to help make our community a better place for all of us. We provide Thanksgiving meals for the elderly, funding for medical treatment and holiday gifts for needy families, and have provided wireless phones and pagers for  victims of domestic abuse. We are probably most well-known for our annual Easter Egg Hunt, Pumpkin Fest, and for our Health Equipment Loan Center, where residents can get the medical equipment they need at no cost.

Lions Club international is the world's largest major service organization with 1.4 million members in over 180 countries. We Serve is not only our motto, but our guiding philosophy.

Lions are men and women from all walks of life who volunteer their time to humanitarian causes in their local communities. By conducting service projects and raising funds, Lions strive to help those in need, wherever a need exists.

Our members are our life blood. Members enable clubs to meet diverse local and international needs. Together we improve the world with projects as small as cleaning up a neighborhood park, and as large as preserving eyesight internationally.
