Dear Neighbor,

On Monday October 13th, the Hendrick Hudson Lions Club will hold its annual golf outing at Casperkill Country Club in Poughkeepsie. We hope to have a great day filled with fun and good times!


For just $110, participants get a full round of golf, breakfast, boxed lunch, and beer and soda on the turn. They are also invited to join us back at the Verplanck Fire House afterwards for our famous clam bake, featuring steamers, shrimp, clam chowder and steak. (Tickets to just the clam bake are $40 each)


We'll have a 10 a.m. shotgun start, with a scramble format. Golfers are encouraged to contact Ed Carter or John Hunt, or email us at golf@henhudlions.org.


We also kindly ask that you support our outing by sponsoring a hole. Your generous donation is greatly appreciated and will allow our club to continue its important work in our community.

Since 1954, our club has strived everyday to make our community a better place. Often times, people know who the Lions are but don't know exactly what we do. Since its inception, our club has helped the community in the following ways:


*Our Sick Loan Trailer provides hospital beds, crutches, and wheel chairs to those in need.


*Our eyeglasses recycling mailbox located at the Cortlandt Ambulance Corps allows the club to collect old eyeglasses.  These glasses are then refurbished and given to people in need of a pair of glasses.


*Our Thanksgiving Meals on Wheels program provides a hot meal to senior citizens the day after Thanksgiving when the Office of the Aging is closed.


*Holiday gifts and presents to less fortunate families at Blue Mountain Middle School.

*Our very popular Halloween Pumpkin Fest and Easter Egg Hunt provides safe fun for children in the community.

* A yearly scholarship to a deserving graduating senior at Hendrick Hudson High School.

These are a just a few of the many projects and programs of the club.  Again, your sponsorship will allow our club to continue to fund these projects and programs. In addition, businesses who buy an ad for the golf outing will also have their business displayed on our website. We thank you in advance for your generous support.
